OLD STONE AGE PREHISTORY & HOLOCENE PREHISTORY

Prehistorians of both Holocene and Pleistocene eras examine fragments of tools and fossilised animal remains to identify Stone Age cultures and their survival strategies.  Nomadic hunters pursued their prey at Dakhleh water holes over 500,000 years ago, but as the climate turned increasingly dry, man settled near permanent water sources and gradually became dependent on agriculture and animal husbandry.
