The tombs of the wealthiest citizens of Dahkleh were often decorated either with paint on plastered walls or carved stone walls. These tombs all date from the Ptolemaic and Roman world.

The Dakhleh Trust
The Trust was formed in 1999 and is registered as a charity in the United Kingdom. Its primary role is to raise funds for the continuation of study within the Dakhleh Oasis Project.
